In the week ending November 28, 2009, domestic
raw steel production was 1,499,000 net tons while the capability
utilization rate was 62.8 percent. Production was 1,209,000
tons in the week ending November 28, 2008, while the capability
utilization then was 50.7 percent. The current week production
represents a 24.0 percent increase from the same period
in the previous year. Production for the week ending November 28,
2009 is down 2.7 percent from the previous week
ending November 21, 2009 when production was 1,540,000 tons and the

rate of capability utilization was 64.5 percent.

Adjusted year-to-date production through November 28, 2009 was
56,812,000 tons, at a capability utilization rate of 50.2 percent.
That is a 40.7 percent decrease from the 95,661,000 tons during the

same period last year, when the capability utilization rate
was 84.7 percent.

Broken down by districts, here’s production for the week
ending November 28, 2009 in thousands of net tons: Northeast Coast:

In the week ending November 21, 2009, domestic
raw steel production was 1,540,000 net tons while the capability
utilization rate was 64.5 percent. Production was 1,209,000
tons in the week ending November 21, 2008, while the capability
utilization then was 50.7 percent. The current week production
represents a 27.4 percent increase from the same period
in the previous year. Production for the week ending November 21,
2009 is down 1.1 percent from the previous week
ending November 14, 2009 when production was 1,557,000 tons and the

rate of capability utilization was 65.3 percent.

Adjusted year-to-date production through November 21, 2009 was
55,313,000 tons, at a capability utilization rate of 49.9 percent.
That is a 41.4 percent decrease from the 94,452,000 tons during the

same period last year, when the capability utilization rate
was 84.7 percent.

Broken down by districts, here’s production for the week
ending November 21, 2009 in thousands of net tons: Northeast Coast:

utilization rate was 65.3 percent. Production was 1,209,000
tons in the week ending November 14, 2008, while the capability
utilization then was 50.7 percent. The current week production
represents a 28.8 percent increase from the same period
in the previous year. Production for the week ending November 14,
2009 is up 0.9 percent from the previous week
ending November 7, 2009 when production was 1,544,000 tons and the
rate of capability utilization was 64.7 percent.

Adjusted year-to-date production through November 14, 2009 was
53,773,000 tons, at a capability utilization rate of 49.6 percent.
That is a 42.4 percent decrease from the 93,243,000 tons during the

same period last year, when the capability utilization rate
was 84.7 percent.

in the previous year. Production for the week ending November 7,
2009 is up 3.3 percent from the previous week
ending October 31, 2009 when production was 1,495,000 tons and the
rate of capability utilization was 62.7 percent.

Adjusted year-to-date production through November 7, 2009 was
52,219,000 tons, at a capability utilization rate of 49.3 percent.
That is a 43.3 percent decrease from the 92,034,000 tons during the

same period last year, when the capability utilization rate
was 84.7 percent.

production represents an 11.2 percent decrease from the
same period in the previous year. Production for the week
ending October 31, 2009 is down 0.8 percent from the
previous week ending October 24, 2009 when production was 1,507,000

tons and the rate of capability utilization
was 63.2 percent.

Adjusted year-to-date production through October 31, 2009 was
50,675,000 tons, at a capability utilization rate of 48.9 percent. That
is a 44.2 percent decrease from the 90,825,000 tons during the same

period last year, when the capability utilization rate was 88.0
percent.

in the previous year. Production for the week ending October 24,
2009 is up 2.3 percent from the previous week
ending October 17, 2009 when production was 1,473,000 tons and the
rate of capability utilization was 61.7 percent.

Adjusted year-to-date production through October 24, 2009 was
49,177,000 tons, at a capability utilization rate of 48.6 percent. That
is a 44.8 percent decrease from the 89,143,000 tons during the same

period last year, when the capability utilization rate was 88.0
percent.
